About the event

Empower yourself with practical mindful parenting tools to apply the 3Cs—Compassion, Connection, and Consistency—in nurturing your children through all stages of development.  

This series is faciltiated by Ms Yammie Chin, co-founder of Holding Ground (Psychology Practice). She is a Principal Clinical Psychologist (MSPS, Registered Psychologist Singapore), Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner (PMH-C), and Accredited Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) Practitioner.  

This series run weekly in the month of August, every Tuesday, 1130 AM to 1PM. It is conducted in person at Holding Ground (Psychology Practice). We are located at 318D Tanglin Road, #01-58, Singapore 247979.

Introduction to mindful parenting principles & its benefits

  • Discuss the concept of mindful parenting and the benefits to parent-child relationship
  • Setting goals for mindful parenting
  • Explore the S.T.O.P. technique

13 August 2024 

Enhancing mindful communication & connection with our child

  • Discuss the key principles of mindful communication
  • Guided exercise on active listening
  • Mindful communication in common parenting situations

20 August 2024 

Cultivating empathy & compassion with and in our child

  • Identifying your expectations for yourself as a parent and your child
  • Appreciation for child’s traits
  • Role-playing scenarios to practise responding with empathy and compassion

27 August 2024 

Integrating mindfulness into family life

  • Guided family mindfulness practices
  • Creating an action plan for a sustainable mindful parenting routine
  • Group reflection on mindful parenting journey and sharing on plans for maintaining mindfulness practices
