Ping Qi is an experienced and highly skilled clinical psychologist with over a decade of professional experience. After completion of her Masters in Psychology at New York University, she spent some time working in the United States, providing psychological assessment and therapy to a diverse population. This experience allows her to understand the unique cultural and individual differences that shape people's mental health needs and tailor her therapeutic approach accordingly. Upon her return to Singapore, Ping Qi has worked closely with clients in the public service and community sectors, providing psychotherapy to children, youths, adults and families.

Ping Qi possesses expertise in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to self-harm and suicide behaviours, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, addiction, anger management challenges, trauma and PTSD, grief, relationship difficulties, LGBTQIA2S+ concerns, and parenting challenges. She adopts a client-centered and integrated approach to therapy, and is trained in delivering a number of different therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Standard Teen Triple P Parenting to name a few. Focusing on providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for her clients, Ping Qi is often described as personable and empathetic by them. In sessions, Ping Qi understands that each client's needs are different, and collaborates with her clients to explore their concerns, customise an individualised change plan, and empowers them through new insights and skill development. Ping Qi can conduct therapy in both English and Mandarin.

A mother to two curious and fearless young-age children, Ping Qi understood first hand the challenges that comes with parenting, struggling with anxiety symptoms on her own motherhood journey. While navigating some of these challenges during the pandemic, she became aware and intimately understood the complexities and unique mental health challenges one can face during the perinatal period. Feeling inspired and motivated to provide a safer space for women and mothers to care and prioritise their mental health, Ping Qi went on to become a perinatal mental health specialist, and became the first Singaporean psychologist registered with Postpartum Support International (PSI). Ping Qi is deeply committed to supporting and nurturing our next generations, emphasising the importance of providing a supportive and empowering environment for children to grow into confident and capable individuals. Ping Qi provides Triple P parenting coaching, and runs socio-emotional workshops for young children, tweens and adolescents to help them develop essential skills such as emotional regulation, communication, and self-confidence.

Ping Qi has also provided clinical consultation and supervision to professionals in community sectors, enhancing their clinical skills and practice. Outside of her clinical practice, Ping Qi is deeply committed to nurturing and shaping the next generation of mental health professional. She serves as a lecturer at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and supervises Capstone students on topics related to parenting, and or forensic psychology Ping Qi's interests extend beyond psychology as she is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with specialised training to work with pre/post-natal clients and children. This holistic approach aligns with her passion for promoting overall wellness with her clients. Her personal life revolves around her family, including her two young-age children and their Corgi. She finds grounding in activities such as traveling and sewing.
