Tan Hong hopes to provide a safe space for clients and support them in their transformative journey of self-discovery and growth. She is committed to supporting clients on personal relationships, life transitions, and emotional regulation to provide clarity and develop healthy coping strategies.
She focuses on building authentic connections by adopting a person-centered approach and integrating various techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She also ensures that therapy sessions are holistically tailored to each client’s needs.
Tan Hong has led keynote projects to enhance community mental health services in Singapore and she understands the gaps and challenges that can still be addressed. As a peer supporter in her workplace, she provides a listening ear and emotional support to her colleagues.
She enjoys adventure and finds grounding in nature, films, and spending time with loved ones. She speaks English and Mandarin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Tan Hong is currently completing her practicum placement at Holding Ground (Psychology Practice) as part of the requirement for completing a Masters of Counselling programme. She is available on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Her practice is closely supervised by Ms Poh Ping Qi, Co-Founder and Principal Clinical Psychologist from Holding Ground (Psychology Practice) to ensure quality client care.
